The Installation of Jake Brooks as our Associate Pastor of Discipleship

This past Sunday, June 24, we had the chance to install Jake Brooks as our new Associate Pastor of Discipleship.  It has been a number of years that we have spent seeking to fill this role, and the Lord is faithful!  Jake, together with his wife Leah and his daughters Ella and Amelia, now step into this new role here in our church family!  We had a chance to commission Jake on Sunday, and to lay hands on and pray over the entire Brooks family as we formally welcomed them as a church.  We are so excited for this next season of what God is doing at Community Church!  Please take the opportunity to welcome them when you have the chance.

We also had a chance to express our gratitude to Suz Skinner, whose role as our Interim Coordinator of Community Life now draws to its conclusion.  We heard from Suz about how excited she is about what God is doing in the life of the church and in her own life.  Before coming on staff with us, Suz gained certification as a Spiritual Director, and she is looking forward to continuing to invest in this practice of journeying alongside people and listening to the Lord together with individuals who are seeking to grow in their relationship with Jesus and follow his leading.
