Call To Worship
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me
to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.
—Psalm 27:1-3

Going Deeper
You don’t have to answer all of these questions. Look them over, and use one or two that might be helpful as you respond to God’s Word.
Which of the three images of God resonates with you the most? Do you need God to be your light, your salvation, or your stronghold right now? Spend some time sharing your answer or journaling about why this is true, and pray for that aspect of God’s character to be at work in your life.
Find a group of people and memorize Psalm 27:1-3 together. Everything is easier together! Hide God’s Word deep in your heart so that when you find yourself facing fear, you can rehearse the truth instead of rehearsing the fear.
As you are meeting with others as a family, a small group, or just some evening with a group of friends, consider going around the room and sharing one of your fears with one another. Start with a single word answer to the question, “What are you afraid of?” and then expand on that word. It’s a way to go deeper in relationship with one another, being more open and honest in community together. As appropriate, close your time of sharing in prayer, lifting up these fears before the Lord. Just be sure to create a safe space for this kind of sharing. Don’t laugh or joke about people’s fears as they share them, but listen well and endeavor to understand one another’s fears, even if you don’t share them.
Community Updates & PRAYER
Submit a Prayer Request: Share with one another the needs, challenges, and joys that you, your family, your neighbors, and your workplaces are going through during this time. Prayer requests can be shared with either our whole church, or just the prayer leadership teams.
Spend Some Time in Prayer: We have collected some prayer requests that have been submitted to us and we have posted them on our community prayer wall. This morning, we invite you to pray for those needs posted there, and we also invite you pray over what was shared or discovered in the Going Deeper questions above.
Share a Photo or Video: Here you have an opportunity to post a video, photo, or selfie from different groups and families to share with one another. Take a selfie with Worship Online in the background! Hold up signs! Express your gratitude and celebrate being a part of Community Church!
