General Information

This year's Vacation Bible School (VBS) is taking the children into the “wild”, where they will get to see snapshots of some real life encounters with Jesus!  At In The Wild VBS, explorers will play games, create colorful crafts and enjoy snacks. But more importantly, they will discover how all the snapshots they see show us who Jesus is and how we can have life in His name by believing in Him!

What does VBS stand for?

Vacation Bible School

What will my child do during VBS?

While at VBS, your child will be assigned to a “crew” for the week with children of the same age and they will rotate through various stations where they will play games, make a craft, have a snack, learn music, and hear a Bible story.

Where will VBS meet?

VBS will meet at Community Church, located at 7 Chapel Street, Gloucester. Weather-permitting, the various stations are both inside the church and outside on the church property. Please dress your child accordingly and apply sunscreen and/or bug spray prior to dropping your child off at the church!

Who will be with my child during VBS?

Each “crew” is staffed with at least one adult crew leader and one youth crew helper. All of our volunteers attend Community Church and all adults have completed CORI and SORI background checks.
